MRL Fifty-Five Followers Fun Giveaway
Okay here it is! The Making Rebecca Lynne Followers appreciation giveaway! Why? Because I can and more importantly because I want to show you all how much I appreciate you!
So what is up for the giveaway...? This Echino Madrigal Peach Pouch created by moi & some destash!
I was debating whether to make a pouch this size for myself and decided to see what I could fit inside and show you all. It fits perfectly in the hand, so cute! Plus, I was able to fit and close the pouch with my phone, earrings (big to some), lipstick, hair-clip, and keys with my massive keychain inside. Pretty good don't you think?
Destash includes some Amy Butler, Heather Ross, Tina Givens (great for fussy cutting), Kokka Hippos, bits (varying sizes) and some random fat quarters that I have no idea what the names are. But one of them is dots!
What to do...
Please leave a comment PER ENTRY because I will be using a Random Number Generator to Pick the winner!
1. BONUS entry to my current 55 Followers. Because there would be no Fun without you...if you are one of the first 55 then please leave a comment stating Bonus Entry. [This idea came from Helen so do pop onto her site and leave her some thanks!]
2. Follow MRL and leave a comment, OR if you already do then leave a comment to remind me
3. Become a Fan and Like MRL's Facebook Page and leave a comment to let me know
4. Blog about the Fifty-five Followers Fun Giveaway and leave me a comment with a link
5. Tell me how you feel about Sampler QALs. Is it something you like to do or do you prefer to QAL a different kind of quilt altogether. Or do you not like QALs at all? Spill the dirt...
Mr. Random Number Generator will help me pick a winner at Midnight Eastern Standard Time on Wednesday October 12th, 2011!
Whew hew! Good Luck!
- rebecca lynne

ReplyDeleteHmmm sampler quilt alongs I normally book mark the ones I like to go back to at a later date (Once my ever growing WIP list shrinks) then find that everyone is finished quilting along and do it on my own using the posts flickr groups and comments kindly left by others as inspiration, cheeky yes but it works for me :D
ReplyDeleteBlogged!!! Check my latest post. :)

ReplyDeleteHi Rebecca, I think you know I subscribed to your blog weeks ago, but I did so on Google Reader, so I didn't show up to you as a follower. I am a follower now! I love your blog.

I like any QALs especially ones I learn from - I think that's why I'd lean towards sampler - also because it's easier to use what you have for some if not all of it. I so hope this means you're going to do one?!! ;)
ReplyDeleteCute purse. GFC Follower but I'm #57.
ReplyDeletemelodyj(at)gmail(dot)com

ReplyDeleteI like QALs in general. I think they are a fun way to try something new, and bond with other quilters from all over the world. I haven't done too many yet, so I'm still getting a feel for them.
ReplyDeleteI'm a new follower and pretty new, too, at this whole quilting thing.
ReplyDeleteI haven't done q QAL yet. But when I do, I'll be looking for simple and effective. I'm not as interested in sampler QALs, though I love watching everyone else's progress.
ReplyDeleteI've learned how to quilt following QAL, great thing for beginners

ReplyDeleteI just did my first QAL so I`m a bit of a novice but I totally loved it and could get addicted. I really liked the look of the Summer Sampler quiltalong, which made traditional blocks look fun and modern...so all in all I think I like them!

ReplyDeleteBonus Entry!

ReplyDeleteI don't like sampler quilts much, with some exceptions, such as glorious appliqué. I am often impressed by them but I wouldn't one on my bed.
ReplyDeleteYour pouch is gorgeous! I'm a new follower :-)
ReplyDeleteWell, no surprise I love quiltalongs - I probably prefer a regular quilt to a sampler style but it does depend on the pattern and look!

ReplyDeleteI'm claiming my Bonus Entry( said in a silly sing-song voice)!
ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan of the sampler quilt. Something about them all being different patterns upsets my poor little OCD brain.
ReplyDeleteI am a new follower! Great giveaway!

ReplyDeletebonus entry- ah, to be one of the privileged few...
ReplyDeletei am a follower! love your posts! wish my pictures were as nice as yours...or my projects for that matter!

ReplyDeleteLove this pouch, is perfect in size and fabric :D
ReplyDeleteI'm a follower!
I only use little purses. I can't handle big purses with all these places for your cards...I like a bit of mess, stuffing receipts back in it and finding a €20 note stuck between two credit cards. It is very pretty and mmm it would be right at home in my bag.
ReplyDeleteOh and a bonus entry...which I love, what a great idea!
ReplyDeleteI'm a new follower!
ReplyDeleteI like MRL on FB!
ReplyDeleteI'm not really interested in doing a QAL at this time - up to my neck in projects already!
ReplyDeleteI am in a sampler bee, which I really love, but I don't know if I'd join a sample QAL because of having to learn all the different blocks at once.
ReplyDeleteI like you on Facebook!
ReplyDeleteI've added your giveaway to my blog at http://www.craftbuds.com/giveaway-roundup/. Feel free to link up future giveaways here! :)

ReplyDeleteI am a new quilter, but love sampler quilts. I would like a sampler quilt along. It would be a good way for me to increase my skills.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cute little purse! I have a old cosmetic bag that I have used as my carry around sewing kit for more years than I can remember. The plastic is long gone and I was just thinking that I really need to get a new one. It's starting to let lots of light in from all the pins and needles I stick in it. It looks about the size of yours. Just thinking!?!
ReplyDeleteI'll follow you, I love to read what everyone is doing. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI am a big fan of Echino. I'm in.
ReplyDeleteI included your giveaway in my blog today:

ReplyDeleteI would love to do a QAL. I have signed up for one 2 months ago and when the first day it started something came up, had to do work for hubby at the office or mom called she needed something done right then. so I have not had good luck with it. But I would love too!!!
ReplyDeleteI follow your blog on GFC

ReplyDeleteVery cute bag. I became a follower and I am having a giveaway on my blog http://inchwormfabrics.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteThe pouch is so cute! :) I'm a follower :)
ReplyDeletehomespunhandmaiden(at)yahoo(dot)com
I think sampler QAL are fun but I usually can't afford all the fabric it would take to do very many of them
ReplyDeletehomespunhandmaiden(at)yahoo(dot)com
I love the idea of QALs but the reality is that I intend to do them and then just don't have time. I like to see what others are doing with them though. And I especially like samplers.
ReplyDeleteI am a new fan on facebook.
ReplyDeleteI blogged about your giveaway at
ReplyDeletehttp://new2quilting.blogspot.com/2011/10/diamond-chains-quiltalong-top-done.html
I am a new follower.
ReplyDeleteI love quiltalongs regardless of if they are a sampler, themed, mystery... I'm just addicted to quiltalongs! Check out all the ones I join on my sidebar and listed at the bottom of my blog. Oh dear. Did you say quiltalong? I'm in!
ReplyDeletehttp://new2quilting.blogspot.com
I "liked" you on facebook :)
ReplyDeleteI like quilt alongs as long as I know what the end result will look like. Fabric is too expensive for me to invest in to do a project I may not love in the end. Not to mention the time involved...
ReplyDeleteI am a new follower :)
ReplyDeleteI don't have enough time for QALs... wish I did!
ReplyDeleteHi Rebecca i am a new follower, thankyou for a chance to win your lovely prize.
ReplyDeleteI'm a new follower - thanks for the chance to win this lovely giveaway.
ReplyDeleteHow have I missed this? I am following you now!
ReplyDeleteI am participating in Leila's Sewn Skill builder, which I am loving. The only problem is, that I want to do more- I could join other QALs too, butI am scared of over committing- and then not keeping up. I am also enjoying ( and already not keeping up with) Cindy's (fluffy sheep)FMQ along.
ReplyDeleteI am now following you. Thanks for this chance to win!
ReplyDeleteFree Felt Patterns is now following you on Facebook. :)
ReplyDeleteI like MRL on facebook...thanks for a chance to win!
ReplyDeleteI really enjoy the sampler quilt along that I joined.
ReplyDeleteI'm subscribing to get your posts in my inbox! Just found your blog, and really like it! Lovely purse - "moi" should be proud; she did a great job! LOL Seriously, it is awfully nice, I've never done one with the metal clasp before. You did a wonderful job, and the lace is just the right touch.
ReplyDeleteI am the Queen of Overcommitment...I simply have to stop jumping on QALs and other projects, and actually finish one!! I do love 'em tho.
ReplyDeleteSampler QALs are fun especially when there are progressive prizes and not as much a crunch for time. I'm doing uberfest right now, delayed by flu bug though, means printing off pdf directions as work through the blocks.
ReplyDelete
