Meet The Foldover Tote
I decided to *borrow* a strap from another bag to see if I wanted this kind of leather one. I like the elegance that the leather strap lends the bag. But, I am not sure I attached it in the best way. I want to revisit the loops on the side (see below) and think of a more secure method.
And now for the embarassing shots...
Lovely gut. Ha! And the look on my face is for Miss O who was trying to escape down the hill while Mommy and Daddy were distracted. Now that she's walking she unstoppable.
Nice of my husband to tell me my tag was sticking out. Roll eyes.
What an attitude. The classic crossover stance with hands in the pocket...hahahahaa....
Well, there she is! She fits so much stuff like my ipad, my files, my phone, little clutches, wallet, phone, and the list goes on...
I have a custom order for this bag in Amy Butler's Lark Home Dec fabric (delicious!). I intend to use the making of that bag to finalize the pattern. Then I will be looking for pattern testers.
So, if you want to be a Foldover Tote pattern tester watch this space!

if these photos are not showing up please let me know - I've replaced them multiple times. I think there is a communication problem between Flickr and my iPhoto. Jerks.
Well it began with me pulling out the iPad because...there was still sunlight and I just needed to get some photos of this tote taken! I know, desperate times and all that... I hate using the iPad as a babysitter but I needed a distraction for Miss O who I knew would try to escape...
...and sure enough...even with her sisters trying to entice her with the shiny iPad and Disney electronic books she is starting to eye me and plan her escape...

there she goes! yelling along the way!
so Mommy resorts to Plan B...my car keys...
that only works for a little while until she decides they want to take a walk...a loooong walk...
meanwhile back at the ranch (i.e. the picnic quilt) the other two are eating pretty well. impressive.
of course we have to have our friends with us...
and in order for Mommy to eat? well, this is how Miss O spent the remainder of our picnic dinner...she thought it was hilarious and kept pulling this way and that...

YAY. Looks great. I like the leather strap too. Looking forward to seeing the next one. Cute pics of the kids too (not all of them worked for me so had to click through to Flickr). So... how long did you have to spend looking for the keys? ;)
Ugh! I spent all night trying to fix those photos... Why does this happen with Flickr and iPhoto? Agh!!! I'm going to have to fix in the morning...
I think your bag is lovely, and your daughters are adorable.

I love that bag! Your girls are absolutely gorgeous, just like their mam!
I came across your flickr page tonight and now am visiting your blog for the first time. This bag is great! I've not seen one like it so I hope you get a great response when you make your pattern. I'd totally be up for pattern testing!
