Circle of Life [First 2012 TTT!]

I had LOTS of blogging plans for this week...so much to share and so many ideas to post about!  I hope 2012 is going to be a big year for MRL.  I'm planning on joining forces with Kelli to promote a Drama Free 2012 and some stash upcoming giveaways.  Plus, Erin and Lucy and I have been throwing around a few ideas for a QAL...hee hee...

But, life tends to throw a wrench in our best laid plans, and unfortunately my grandmother has been admitted to Comfort Care (like hospice) this week so the fam and I have been a bit scattered to say the least.  Instead of dwelling on that though I'd like to share some good news with you all.  News that I've been so excited to share for awhile now!  Especially because it is news that greatly influences my Sewing Plans for the 2012 Year!

Please meet Baby No. 3!  It has been a bit of a difficult pregnancy with a few minor complications so far not to mention a total surprise.  Hahahahaa...but we are very excited.  I am about 17 weeks now and if all goes well we will meet the newest family addition in June.  He/She will either be a Miss O or a Master L...time will tell.

Anyway - this is why I've been so exhausted, migraine-prone, repeatedly sick, and non-sewing as of late.  I am so happy to share the news and now that I'm solidly into my 2nd Trimester I am starting to get the itch to sew some baby items!

So...any ideas on what I need to start creating???  I know I definitely need to make a...

Baby Quilt
I've made a quilt for each of my girls so it is an obvious requirement for No. 3.  I'd love to use this collection of Cloud 9 fabric...but I am not sure if it is too girly.  I am kind of waiting to find out the sex of the baby to know what to use.  But, I just LOVE this specific pattern with the two girls over the stroller...it reminds me of my girls!

I am so excited I finally got to tell you all and I can't wait to hear your ideas of what Baby No. 3 might need.  In the meantime, if you have any brainstorming going on in your hood do share your Think Tank ideas and link up below!

I'm so glad you're in my Must Reads folder, or I would have missed this - CONGRATULATIONS! Even if baby 3 is a boy, you must work a little bit of that fabric into it, pink or not. It's adorable, and fitting.

As for what to sew, I just finished a couple of appliqued t-shirts for my cousin's little girl's first birthday. They were a special request because she loved the onesies I appliqued for Hadleigh's baby shower last year. A little embellishment is a lot of fun and provides almost instant gratification.

Congratulations!

I think even if it's a boy you need to include a bit of that print. So perfect for the new baby. Since I don't have any babies, I have no idea what they need. If it were me, I'm sure I would be sewing and knitting up a storm.

Does this mean you're not returning to work as well?

So glad I decided to check your page! Just flew home yesterday. Scattered here as well, but for different reasons.. CONGRATS! Sooo excited for you!! Can't wait to find out if it's a boy or girl, I agree that you should work little bits of that into whatever you make. Perfect fabric! I am a bib and burp cloth maker, so you might need to send me your address in the future, after you find out what you're having. *wink* :o) On a different note, so sorry to hear about your grandmother. :/ Take care of yourself. xo

Congratulations!! Wow, a no. 3 surprise...I'm so terrified of that happening to me! (Our first was a surprise!) My little secret is that I'm working on a pattern for my Drawstring Quilt! (Shhh!) So you could make one of them! I'll keep you posted! :) I really hope the rest of the pregnancy is smooth sailing, that your excitement keeps growing and your ailments settling. Jodi. xx

Wow! How exciting! You must be so thrilled.

How about making a cute animal mobile for the baby and a fab diaper bag for yourself.

Yahooooo! Congratulations, and lots of bouncy excitement! I think I would sew lots of adorable burp cloths and things like that. Put absolutely cheery prints on 'em! That way, boy or girl, they'll be fun to use and re-use! LOL

I think that is about the most perfect little ultrasound that I've seen! All of ours have looked much more tadpole-y. Congratulations! I hope by now the worst of it is over. Can't wait to see what you start making for the little babe!

Congratulations on the surprise baby! How exciting! I think you should definitely at least include that print in the baby quilt, even if it is a boy.
