Marcelle Medallion Border 2 Triangle Torture

Untitled
Triangles of Liberty Fat Eighths?  Love the colors...but do I really want to chop up my limited supply of Liberty into tiny triangles?  Maybe it will be better as the crosses.  Agh...
Untitled
Hmmm dip into my Anna Maria Horner scraps, including my last itsy bits of Good Folks?
Untitled
Well...maybe I'll find more Good Folks through the Favorite Fabric Swap!

From what I've seen, save the truly precious fabric for the less-fiddly/annoying border than the triangles! Unless you're paper piecing them?

I am in awe of anyone who can do this quilt! Gorgeous

I'm stuck on that border too - I WANT to get this one done as it scares me the most but I can;t decide my fabric either!!

I would not be able to cut out these fabrics, there are amazing...

This is my worry in starting this quilt, that I will get stuck on the border fabrics. I love all your choices, I wonder what you will pick.

I, too, petered out on this border. I got one strip of the triangles done and didn't love it. But it was exactly the right size, so I don't want to rip it out...and I had already cut all the pieces out for the other sides (out of Loulouthi and Innocent Crush, of which I had a limited supply)...blarg.

All those flying geese sort of intimidate me. I'd say stick with a fabric that has a sturdier hand to make them. Your Medallion is looking lovely!

Using favourite fabrics is heart rending, exciting and nerve wracking. I'm going to have a think about mine, and what I would be willing to trade in exchange. Could I really release some HR into the wild?!

Tough choices! Best of luck!

Good luck! I like liberty but I agree - flying geese with soft/stretchy fabric is a nightmare. I made some with Kaffe shot cotton and they were so warped it was ridiculous.

i feel your pain! that's why my liberty stash is still untouched. it's got to be the exactly perfect project or i'm not touching it! those blocks are beautiful, by the way. =)
