Small Blog Meet

I am an avid follower of The Quilting Edge and I recently read her post about the Small Blog Meet sponsored by Lily's Quilts.  This idea is awesome!  It basically entails new blogs, with less than 20 followers, sharing each others sites and becoming followers.  I am psyched about this because I follow quite a few quilt blogs but have never come across a *newer* one and wondered "where are they, if I can't find them how will they find me???"  If you'd like to find out more details about the Small Blog Meet please visit Lily's Quilts Post here.

About Me

I became fascinated with patchwork and quilting in high school and went on to study Fiber Arts in college.  As a trained fiber artist I learned all about quilting, weaving, dyeing and knitting.  Unfortunately, somewhere along the way my enjoyment for quilting became overwhelmed by all the *rules* I was taught.  Three years ago, as a new mother, the desire to create something comforting and beautiful brought me back to quilting and an older wise me recognized that I can quilt on my own terms without any rules at all!

I started making rebecca lynne because I was feeling creatively buried.  My official occupation is as an attorney, and I own a small business selling my jewelry [Lush Cluster], but all the time and effort I put into making other beautiful things in life was being lost.  I began blogging almost as a journal to document what I am doing and why.  It motivates me to keep going and follow through on my projects.  The bonus is the amazing online community I am discovering of fellow blogging quilters & crafters who love to do what I do too!

Thank you for visiting my site!  I'd love to visit your blog and learn more about you... Please leave me a comment below and I'll be sure to stop by and leave a note.
